About Me I received my first
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Sociology from the University of
Evansville. I worked as a corporate trainer for Chi-Chi's Corporation
for several years. I decided I wanted to teach school, so I enrolled at IUS
and over the years earned a second Bachelor's of Science Degree in
Education, a Master's Degree in Education, and a Reading endorsement.
I've taught at St. Anthony since 1990. I've taught both eighth and fifth
grades. I'll be teaching 7th and
8th grade Social Studies this year and I have an 8th grade homeroom. I have a son. My
hobbies include reading, cooking, bowling, and swimming.
Educational Statement I teach at a Catholic school because I feel that faith formation is very important. Christian values and traditions are emphasized in my classes. I believe every child can learn and I strive to meet individual needs by incorporating a variety of teaching styles in my lessons. I love to read and I hope to encourage each child to become a life-long reader.
